Once you have taken and successfully passed this course with Bridge Training, we will work with you to progress to study for further qualifications or to seek your ideal role within analog or digital CCTV and the private security industry. You will also be able to apply for an SIA CCTV Operator’s licence to make you more employable further down the line.

The rise in the use of CCTV cameras means that there are lots of employment opportunities once you have a CCTV licence. This makes the CCTV Operative Training course the perfect course to start, or advance, your career in the Private Security Industry.
The learner will understand the main characteristics, legislation, procedures for arrest and emergencies like fires or terror threats as well as communication and record-keeping relevant to the role of security operative. The learner will also understand safe working practices, how to keep vulnerable people safe and post-incident management.
The learner will understand the purpose of surveillance systems (CCTV), the legislation involved and how they affect public space surveillance, and the roles and responsibilities of the control room team and other stakeholders. Learners will also demonstrate operational use of CCTV equipment, understand surveillance techniques, the importance of procedure in public space surveillance, health and safety in a CCTV environment, and understanding/responding to different types of incidents.
Learners will be assessed using multiple-choice question papers a portfolio of work and practical observation. There are 2 test papers both with a pass mark of 70%. The practical sections will consist of candidate demonstrations of skills and be assessed by a tutor.
Upon successful completion of the course candidates will receive a Level 2 award for CCTV Operators (Public Space Surveillance) within the Private Security Industry.
Documents required from you:
You will be required to bring Identification documents such as a Passport or driver’s licence and proof of address utility bill or bank statement etc along with 2 passport size photographs.
This course has a duration of 3 days of learning with the tutor from 9 am to 6 pm.
There are 8 self-study hours in which candidates will work alone at home to complete a unit using course handbooks and the Bridge Training LMS.
